ELVAX™ 150W is an ethylene‑vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer manufactured by Dow (formerly DuPont), featuring 32 wt% vinyl acetate content
This high‑VA, high‑flow EVA grade delivers high polarity, excellent adhesion to metals, foils, paper and various polymer substrates. It exhibits outstanding low‑temperature flexibility, flex‑crack resistance, good clarity and low odor. It shows excellent compatibility with waxes, tackifiers and other polymers for hot‑melt formulation. It complies with FDA 21 CFR 177.1350 for food‑contact applications under proper conditions.
Typical applications include hot‑melt adhesives, sealants, wax modification, polymer compounding, masterbatch carrier, wire & cable compounds, and special industrial blending. Main processing methods are melt blending, extrusion compounding and casting extrusion
Product Application
EVA is mainly used in the fields of foam shoe materials, functional greenhouse films, packaging film, hot melt adhesives, wires and cables, and toys.
Mitsui/Dow
ELVAX ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer resins add toughness and flexibility to industrial, consumer, and packaging applications. Advantages of ELVAX™ inindustrial and con- sumer applications include inherent toughness, resilience, better flexibility than low density polyethylene overa broad temperature range, and excellent environmental stress crack resistance.
