AFFINITY™ PL 1850G is an ethylene-octene polyolefin plastomer (POP) manufactured by Dow Chemical with proprietary INSITE™ metallocene catalyst technology.
It is an additive-free neat grade without pre-loaded slip and antiblock additives. Compared with PL 1881G, it has higher melt flow rate, delivering better processability for cast film and blown film lines. It features ultra-low seal initiation temperature, excellent hot tack, reliable seal-through-contamination performance, superior optical clarity and good toughness & tear resistance.
It is widely used as heat-seal layer for multi-layer coextruded flexible packaging and supports mono-material recyclable packaging structures
